Storage Insights

PVC provisioning and usage, plus PersistentVolumes left in Released state.

Permissions: viewing checks requires insights: view. Opening a linked object or logs requires the corresponding resource permission, and the BeaverDeck ServiceAccount must be allowed to read the Kubernetes resources used by the check. Suppressing a finding requires insights: edit and affects all users.

Data Evaluated

PersistentVolumeClaims in selected namespaces, kubelet PVC statistics when available, and related cluster-scoped PersistentVolumes.

Checks

Check	When it reports	Alert severity
PVC Binding `pvc-binding`	A PersistentVolumeClaim is not in phase `Bound` or has no `spec.volumeName`.	Critical
PVC Usage `pvc-usage`	PVC usage statistics are available and used space is at least 85% of capacity.	Warning
Released PV `pv-released`	A PersistentVolume remains in `Released` phase for more than 7 days. Recently released volumes are shown as passing within the cleanup window.	Warning after 7 days

Open an individual check for risk context, recommended response, and limitations. Passing checks are visible when Show all checks is enabled in BeaverDeck.
